How I use my homemade planner ... a tour!
Hello, my friends and Happy Sunday! I hope this post finds you all happy, healthy and safe. :-) In my last post I shared the PDF links to my monthly planning sheets for 2022 and today I'd like to dig a little deeper. For those new to my blog, I have been sharing my homemade planner for several years now. In addition to this weekly planner (which includes monthly calendars) I also have shared many seasonal and holiday planning worksheets over the years. Quick Veal Vegetable Soup (Keto, Low-Carb)
I don’t usually buy Canadian grass-fed veal or beef raised without the use of hormones unless it’s reduced by 50%. If you don’t use the FlashFood App, I’d suggest adding it to your phone so that you can find supermarket deals such as the veal. With food prices increasing from 5-7% all over Canada, I’ll stock up whenever I can. Today, I made a quick Veal Vegetable Soup which you can have on the table in one hour. The reason it’s keto Is that there’s nothing in the Veal Vegetable Soup but approved products. And for those of you who...

$avings $aturday...Getting Our Pantry in Shape
How are we doing on our plan to use up older items in our pantry? My biggest concern was canned goods…especially those we buy. By yesterday we had used 82 jars or cans from our pantry…in a little over 10 weeks since the first of the year. I count jars of jam, jelly, honey, syrup, meat, soup, pickles and relishes, beans, fruit and vegetables, whether home canned or purchased. Those jars and cans are generally sized for two people. I let my spreadsheet that I use for inventory to keep track of the jars on hand and what was used....
Q&A: More Sustainable Concrete With Machine Learning
By Lauren Hinkel | MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab As a building material, concrete withstands the test of time. Its use dates back to early civilizations, and today it is the most popular composite choice in the world. However, it’s not without its faults. Production of its key ingredient, cement, contributes 8-9 percent of the global anthropogenic CO2 emissions and 2-3 percent of energy consumption, which is only projected to increase in the coming years. With aging United States infrastructure, the federal government recently passed a milestone bill to revitalize and upgrade it, along with a push to reduce greenhouse...
