If you’ve got a drawer full of home office supplies, you probably have some spare metal binder clips for paper on hand
I use them in various sizes to cover the sharp edges of my chisels when I store them. I install the clips just as you would when they’re used on paper: open the clip wide and slide it over the chisel blade, instead of just pushing the blade between the jaws. The clips stay in place well enough to help prevent dinged edges and accidental cuts. – Jim Wilson San Marcos, Texas The post Binder Clips Protect Sharp Edges appeared first on Woodworking | Blog | Videos | Plans | How To. #TricksOfTheTrade

You don’t have to roast beets to make burger
s. You can peel them and grate or shred them and then cook them in a pan. But roasted beets taste richer and have a deeper flavor. And as long as you’re roasting the beets, why not roast some garlic too? I used millet in my burgers because it has a very nutty flavor but you can use quinoa or rice instead. I also prefer bread crumbs to flour because I think it gives the burgers a better texture. The burgers turned out deee-licious! They are bright and fresh tasting but also savory. They held up well while cooking and...

I started teaching in the winter of 1997. Hired in a wonderful suburban district outside of Houston, Texas. The campus experienced a little growth and needed a teacher mid year, so I was the lucky one hired in December just as I received my college diploma and teaching certification. My college pre-service classes taught me little about what the classroom experience would truly be like. And with wide-eyes I walked into my first classroom and found myself teaching third graders who had a myriad of needs I was ill prepared for. Some students needed special education support, others dyslexia, and...
