When most people think about what to eat with meatballs, they tend to end up serving that old favorite, spaghetti and meatballs! Delicious as that may be, there are so many other wonderful dishes you can pair up with them!

Meatballs are so versatile that your options are endless when it comes to the flavor combinations that you can create.
Not only is making meatballs much easier than you think, but you can also double up your recipes to create extras for freezer meals on those busy evenings when you simply don’t have enough time to cook!
To make juicy, delicious meatballs, there are a few key rules you must always follow.
Choose a finely ground or minced protein, whether that is beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey or even veal! You can experiment with using two types of meat, which gives a richer flavor.
If you are buying lean meat, your meatball is likely to be less tender, so drizzle some olive oil into the meat as you cook it.
Also be mindful of overworking your meatballs, which can cause them to toughen up during the cooking process.
Don’t forget to season your meatballs well while preparing them; think along the lines of salt, pepper, garlic, diced onions, etc.
You will always need something that acts as a binder, whether that is breadcrumbs, panko, crackers and/or eggs.
There are many ways in which you can cook meatballs too
Let’s look at your options:
Baked in the oven: you can bake meatballs for 10-20 minutes (depending on size) at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, turning once halfway through cooking.
Broiler: broil meatballs for 5-10 minutes (depending on size), turning once during the cooking process.
In a skillet: you can pan fry meatballs with some oil over medium heat, turning to brown all sides.
In an air fryer: make sure you leave space in between each meatball and only cook in a single layer for about 8 minutes, shaking once, then cook for 2 more minutes. Repeat until all meatballs are cooked.
In sauces and soups: bring the sauce or soup to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add in the meatballs and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
In the slow cooker: add your sauce and meatballs to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
On the grill: you can grill meatballs by skewering them and cooking them on your grill. Just make sure you don’t make your meatballs too large, otherwise they may split while cooking.
You can even make meatless meatballs by finely chopping mushrooms and browning them before mixing with the other ingredients as you would with real meatballs.
