The Ultimate List Of Cold Brew Coffee Recipes: The Saturday Weekend Review #328

Various cold brew coffee recipes have long been one of our afternoon drinks in the summer.

Today I’m sharing delicious cold brew coffee recipes for you to enjoy this summer.

Both Mrs. CBB and I have two cold summer beverages of choice, water and cold brew coffee.

On occasion I’ll have a beer but I’ve since stopped with the alcohol unless it’s given to me.

For creamy summer drink recipes, we turn to fruit smoothies with keto-friendly berries, coconut milk, almond milk, or macadamia nut milk.

I still enjoy my morning hot coffee but when we want something chill we go for a cold brew coffee.

Save Money Making Cold Brew Recipes At Home

Save money and make summertime cold brew coffee recipes at home

Back in 2012 I wrote a blog post about the costs of buying coffee at the shops vs. making it at home.

The post was sincere and definitely an eye opener for anyone who didn’t realize how costly it was.

Local coffee shops such as Starbucks, Tim Hortons and McDonald’s are swamped this time of year.

While going through the parking lot of a shopping centre I noticed that McDonald’s offers $1 iced coffee.

Forget about buying iced coffee as I’ll show you how to make it at home for nickels.

Small Expenses Add Up

It has always been the small expenses that boost budget costs due to failure of recognition.

A few dollars here and there 2 or 3 times a day calculates into hundreds of dollars a month.

Besides the financial aspect of buying cold brew coffee creations I wanted to explore new recipes.

Let me show you how to save your budget from exploding by making cold brew coffees at home.

While at Zehrs last week and Costco I noticed both stores carry cans of cold brew.

Every time I see this I have to laugh only because cold brew is just cold coffee.

Fair enough if you want to spend $3 a can for cold coffee but it seems ridiculous to me.

Every 2 days we take a Tupperware pitcher, add 4 tablespoons of instant coffee and hot water.

We stir it up and let it cool before putting it into the refrigerator to make our cold brew recipes.

That’s it my friends. Black coffee that is cold = Cold Brew in the CBB house.

If instant coffee isn’t your thing make whatever black coffee you like.

Add a shot of cold espresso following the same procedure.

Now to the fun part, cold brew coffee recipe creations.

The CBB Pinterest account along with many other business accounts have tanked considerably.

It has to do with changes made at Pinterest but it has substantially hurt my traffic.

THOUGHTS CORNER BY MR.CBB

Don’t Be Afraid To Stand Out From The Crowd

When this quote came to mind all I could think about was when I moved to Canada.

I wasn’t sure what my place was in a new country but I didn’t let that stop me.

There was a time where I thought I had to follow what other people did to get to know how to act.

That’s no longer the case as I know that if I want to be the best version of myself that I need to stand out from the crowd.

Don’t be afraid to be different whether that be the way you dress, look or the lifestyle that you lead.

Just Be You.

Landscape And Garden Tip Of The Week

We have many of our herbs and vegetables in mixed size pots which is similar to a raised bed garden.

What I found interesting was by adding mulch to the raised garden would also help preserve moisture.

I also noticed at our community garden that one gardener put a plastic sheet over the 4×12 garden plot to keep the moisture in.

After you have finished planting your garden, you need to mulch with straw, manure, leaves, or wood chips.

Not only does this keep your soil moist but reduces the amount of watering your garden need. If you leave your soil exposed in the raised bed the moisture will quickly dry out.

SATURDAY SEARCH TERM GIGGLES

Google Search Terms for Canadian Budget Binder

These are keywords that readers typed into their search engine and landed on this blog.

I get quite a few of these every single day and pick some of the best to feature right here.

  • Coughing in a store and getting banned– Why do I get the feeling lots of people are scared to cough anywhere?
  • Stealing from a grocery store – This is never a smart option as there are many community services.
  • How to write a cheque? – That’s a fair question since cheques are not used like they were in the past.
  • Junk Drawer Junk – Haha, I have a junk drawer filled with odd items such as candles, batteries, etc.

That’s all for this week CBB Friends.

Join me next Friday for my bi-weekly newsletter.
