Are your kids constantly sniffing out food to snack on? Looking for some Clean eating snacks?

When you have kids, your kitchen sees more traffic than a busy train station. Kids eat. All the time. Three meals a day? pffft. As far as my kids are concerned, the fun is the snacking. Thing is, if it were available, they would be reaching for a bag of crisps not an apple. An apple just isn’t going to suffice every time.

Having a stash of clean eating snacks (and not another apple) makes clean eating as a family easy.  I can guarantee even the fussiest eater will love these 11 Clean Eating Snacks and they won’t even realize they are actually good for them.
Clean Eating & Snacking
I’m a massive fan of Clean Eating as family. It’s an intuitive way of eating that feels right. Clean Eating is a common sense approach to eating real, whole foods as close to their natural state as possible. There is no weighing, calorie accounting or fad restrictions on certain foods. It’s not a ‘just a diet that Mommy does’ either.

It’s a way of eating that can include the whole family.

I’m a Mom, so I know that we’re not going to make good food choices all the time. The truth is  – there will be days when we stop at the McDonalds drive through or grab a hot dog at the school fair. I’m not going to deny my kids birthday cake at a party or stopping the annual Easter Egg hunt. It’s the fact that they make healthy choices most of the time that matters.

Clean Eating is a lifestyle choice. It’s not something you do for 28 days then revert back to old eating habits. To wrap it up real simply – it’s about eating Real Food Most of the Time (you can read our 12 Clean Eating Rules here).
Clean Eating Snacks for Kids
As parents, it’s important to not only feed our kids food that will keep them healthy, but also teach them how to make good food choices on their own as they get older. Because Mommy won’t always be around to say no. Trust me on this – I have teens with a car.

The easiest way to begin Clean Eating with kids is to start supplementing the crappy foods with delicious, clean foods. It’s not about restricting or deprivation. You’re going to be surprised at how much you can eat – and still stay slim and healthy – whilst eating Clean. Let’s get started with these 11 Clean Eating Snacks your kids are (and you) are gonna love!
11 Delicious Clean Eating Snacks for Kids Carrot Chips
There’s something about the crunch. Kids LOVE crunch! Turning anything into a chip makes it instantly appealing – even to the fussiest of eaters. These carrot chips are super easy to make – and lets face it – the kids can eat as many as they like! QUICK TIP: If you are going to make these crisps in bulk, then it’s a lot easier if you have a mandolin. It took me ages to invest in one of these babies and I’m sure I lost hours of my life using my regular grater. It took it falling apart in my hands for me to eventually give in to a newer model. Just wish I had done it sooner!
