This simple recipe for low-carb crispy air fryer kale chips and a perfect keto snack is an absolute must-try.
When harvested during the Fall, kale has a sweet, nutty flavour which is why it makes the perfect chip.
Today, I will share how to make perfect air fryer kale chips in 8 minutes.

Buying An Air Fryer
In January, our microwave quit working, so we searched for a new one.
Instead of purchasing a standard microwave, we bought a 3 in 1 Cuisinart/Air Fryer oven.

I wasn’t sure at first if I’d use the air fryer as I’m not one for gadget kitchen appliances.
We bought it from The Shopping Channel (TSC) for its excellent reviews and price.
It was the first time we had shopped at TSC, and we could apply a Rakuten discount code to make it even cheaper.
However, I took the chance and am glad because we often use the air fryer.
The air fryer will be handy in the summer instead of turning on the oven in the heat.

Air Fryer Kale Chips
While grocery shopping at Food Basics, Mrs. CBB picked up a bag of fresh chopped kale that was 50% off the regular price.
Years ago, we tried to make oven-baked kale chips, which was horrible.
We hesitated to try it again until I suggested making kale chips in the air fryer instead.
The great thing about our air fyer is that it’s small, so we can do test batches.
Tips To Make The Best Air Fryer Kale Chips
Here are a few tips I’ve learned about making air fryer kale chips that you should know.
- Ensure the washed kale is dry before you season it with oil and spices.
- Kale chips need time and should not be rushed.
- Spread the kale evenly in the air fryer and not on each other.
- Kale chips are best eaten the same day.
- Store air fryer kale chips in a paper bag for optimal crunch and freshness.

Growing and Harvesting Kale
My father-in-law grew kale in his hearty garden, which is easy to grow.
Growing kale requires full sunlight, high-nitrogen fertilizer, compost manure, and mulch to moisten the soil.
Kale is fast growing; you’ll often harvest if you provide the right environment.
You may notice that kale grows best during the late summer or early Fall as temperatures drop.
When growing Kale during the hot summer, please wait until it’s cool to harvest the plants.
