Two Great Ways to Make a Presidents Book

  1. Make one copy of each page and have individual students each research and write about the president. Many classes will need most students to do two presidents. Bind together for a class book and place in your library If copying allows, or you have a business partner that will make copies, make enough copies of the book for each student in the entire class to have one. You have two choices of covers, one with the presidents and one where a student can design the cover.
  2. Print the entire book for each student. Each week for seatwork or center work, the students can complete one new president page. You can have facts on an anchor chart or books related to that one president at a center. Completing this book all year is a terrific way to incorporate Social Studies into your Literacy Block. After all your testing is done, students can finish up two pages a week. Bind book as an end of the year parent gift. It is a terrific way to see a student’s progression in handwriting and writing skills for an entire year. You have two choices of covers, one with the presidents and one where a student can design the cover.
