Trust me, Swagbucks (SB) is legit, and it helps me to earn between $100-$200 monthly, but there’s more to make if you have the time and motivation.

At Swagbucks.ca, members earn points for purchases at online stores like Amazon, Walmart, Old Navy, The Bay, Indigo, and more.
Earn Swagbucks by surfing the web using their Yahoo-powered search engine as your default.
So each time I search the Swagbucks search engine, Yahoo results power it.
You’re using Yahoo but earning points at the same time. Pretty cool!
It’s easy to do, and you’re already online, so why not gain the rewards?
There are many other ways to earn SB online, which I will detail below.
How To Sign Up For Swagbucks
Sign up for SB using any of the following approved devices below.
Android
- OS – Kit Kat (4.4 – 4.4.4), Lollipop (5.0-5.1.1), Marshmallow (6.0 – 6.0.1), Nougat (7.0 – 7.1.1).
- Devices – We do our best to support devices released within the last 2-3 years.
- As a rule of thumb, the newer the device, the better our apps will function.
iPhone
- iOS 9 & 10 and up
- Devices – iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6+, 7, 7+
- As a rule of thumb, the newer the device, the better our apps will function.
iPod
- 4th Generation or higher
iPad/Tablets
- iPads/Tablets released within the last 2-3 years include the iTunes and/or the Google Play store.
Ways To Make Money Using Swagbucks
I thought it might be easier if I broke down the various ways you can earn SB.
It can be lots of information for someone new to using SB, but trust me, you’ll learn fast.
Searching for codes and completing small surveys to break up your day is fun.
1. Get Paid To Surf The Web
Add Swagbucks as your default browser and get paid to surf the web using their search engine.
Almost everyone is on the computer at some point during the day, so why not earn SB?
2. Review Top Offers
Get free gift cards when you check out exclusive deals and offers from well-known brands.
You earn SB points when you sign up for new services, check out free samples, and more!
3. Play Games
Have fun playing games online, and you’ll be so entertained you won’t even notice that you’re earning SB for it!
Earn SB points when you make in-game purchases through our partners at GSN, or play our original free games and earn randomly.
4. Complete Surveys
Completing your profile allows SB to alert you to surveys that you qualify for.
These profiles also help us serve you with more targeted surveys with significantly higher SB payouts.
That means you can earn more SB because surveys are sent to you based on the information you provide them with.
Most surveys on SB pay between 30 and 100SB.
Surveys are used to get your opinion on a variety of topics,
On Swagbucks, you can find surveys paying up to $20 or more – depending on how detailed the survey is or the needs of the market research firm.
For example, in-home product surveys can pay $100 or more.
Per month, you can reasonably earn an extra $50 to $250.
When it comes to paid surveys, you get what you put out of it.
It helps to set small daily goals. If you wanted to make an extra $100 a month, that’s $3.33 a day you would need to earn.
That’s very doable on a paid survey site.

5. Redeem Swag Codes
What is a Swag Code?
Swag Codes are strings of text that you can apply for instant Swag Bucks.
Sometimes they look LIKETHIS: other times, LiKEtH1S.
Each Swag Code is worth a certain number of Swag Bucks and is only available within a specific time frame.
The first thing you’ll want to do is download the SwagButton.
Once installed, click the “Check for Swag Code” button to alert you to an active code.
The Google Chrome Extension will also alert you if there’s an active code for you to search for.
These Swag codes help you build points to redeem for cash or gift cards.
If you’re using our Android or iOS Mobile Apps, you can receive Push Notifications, which will be sent when there is an active code!
6. Online Shopping
You can submit receipts for online purchases over 10 days to earn SB.
Earn cash back and save with coupon codes when shopping online through SB.
7. Submit Grocery Receipts
Earn SB by submitting your grocery receipt online or using the mobile app from purchases within 14 days.
You’ll earn between 1 to 5 SB for every new grocery receipt you submit.
Currently, Canadians and Americans can upload 10 grocery receipts weekly.
Swagbucks has almost every major grocery store (including Costco), and pharmacies on the list of approved stores.
You can earn SB from retailers selling food, household, health, or beauty items.
These retailers include grocery/supermarkets, supercenters, club stores, dollar stores, drug & pharmacies, convenience, corner stores, beauty supplies, pet supplies, and toy stores.
Be sure to have the latest SB Answer app (v 2.0) on your iOS or Android device.
8. Refer Friends and Family
With the Swagbucks referral program, you will earn points each time someone joins through your link.
Of all the ways to earn points from Swagbucks, referrals are the best way to earn points you can exchange for cash or gift cards.

The bonus you receive from SwagUp depends on the type applied to your account.
SB Award SwagUp:
This type of SwagUp will add SBs to your account when you conduct the activities that unlock the award. Examples of these include a SwagUp that:
- Doubles the SB you earn for completing the survey
- Awards you a flat amount for completing a survey
- It Doubles the SB you earn when you shop online
- Awards you a flat amount when you shop online
How Many Swagbucks Are Needed To Earn $1?
To earn one dollar, you need 100 SB, which means to earn 10 dollars, you need 10,000 SB.
Pros and Cons: Swagbucks Review
Like any platform or app, some pros and cons come along with it.
However, there’s not much I can say about using SB apart from, why not?
