RE-1 Valley honors retirees at reception

On Thursday, May 27, the RE-1 Valley School Board hosted an open house reception for the RE-1 Valley retirees. It was held at Hagen Administration Building in the Board Room.

“It meant a lot to us to be able to serve these valued teachers, employees, colleagues, friends and their families,” said board member Deb Japp.

Those recognized included Nancy Koester, administrative assistant at Caliche Jr./Sr. High; Julie Sullivan, a preschool teacher at Hagen Early Education Center; Dr. Lois Christian, district psychologist; Jana Lock, sixth through eighth grade math teacher at Sterling Middle School; Kathy Hradecky, intervention coordinator at Sterling High School; Lynel Frank, academic counselor at SHS; Donna Line, significant support needs specialist at Campbell Elementary; Julie Kokes, third grade teacher at Campbell; Phylis Lebsack, administrative assistant at Campbell; Wendy Lozier, student services coordinator at SMS; Lori Atkin, sixth through eighth grade technology education teacher at SMS; Michelle Wiebers, special education teacher at SMS; Wendy Dudley, district audiologist; Lucy Thomas, paraprofessional; and Karen Burkholder, physical education teacher at SMS.
