Have Fun at Home with The Library District’s Free Take & Make Activity Kits

Are you looking for some fun activities that you can do from the safety of your home? The Library District now offers FREE Take & Make activity kits that are available to pick up from our libraries! We provide all the supplies for fun and educational crafts, early literacy, STEAM learning, and more! These take-home kits have grown in popularity and allow us to serve the community of Clark County in new and creative ways, as well as entertain and educate children and teens while they are at home. Find out what is currently available at the library location nearest you in the list below. You can even call ahead to schedule to pick them up with our contactless Curbside service! When you have finished your Take & Make activities, snap a picture, and tag us @LVCCLD on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram so we can see them and share your creativity! 

Centennial Hills Library 

Wednesdays: New take & make crafts will be available right after My Favorite Story at 11:30 a.m. and will be available for pick up throughout the week.


Clark County Library Best Buy Teen Tech Center

Mondays: Mindful Monday’s Grab & Go Kits - Ages 12-17
Pick up our weekly Grab & Go activity that will assist you in becoming mindful of yourself and bring a sense of calm and balance to your busy life.  Stop by the Best Buy Teen Tech Center to pick up a Mindful Grab & Go Kit. The kits may be slime one week, gratitude journals the next, coloring pages with pencils after that.  

Thursdays: Mystery STEAM Grab & Go Challenge - Ages 12-17
Once a week we will create a STEAM challenge for teens to take home!  It may be art, coding, reading, technology, math… who knows? Stop by the Best Buy Teen Tech Center to pick up your mystery STEAM Challenge every Thursday. Everyone loves a good mystery!

Clark County Library Youth Services

Tuesdays: Take and Make crafts are available after the Five and Under Storytimes and are given out at the conclusion on the program in the theater lobby. 


East Las Vegas Library

Thursdays: Stop by the Youth Services Department to pick up your Take & Make Bag full of materials to complete your craft at home!


Enterprise Library 

Mondays: Maker Mondays
Come in and grab a Maker Monday Kit to complete at home! Kits will include an activity that encourages creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.

Tuesdays: Storytime To Go
This kit will include storytime related activities for you to do at home.

Thursdays: Tween, Teen Thursdays
Stop by and pick up an activity to go!

Fridays: Family Friday
Come in for a fun take-home craft or activity to do as a family!


Rainbow Library

Wednesdays: Craft & Activity Kits for ages 0-5
After the Five and Under Storytime, a maker bag with a fun craft or activity will be provided to continue the storytime experience at home!


Sahara West Library

Tuesdays: Teen Takeaway for ages 12 to 17
Drop-in anytime on Tuesdays at the Sahara West Library and get your Teen Takeaway from the Youth Services Desk to make your craft in the comfort of your home! Teen Takeaway kits are available while supplies last, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Wednesdays: Grade School Grab Bags for ages 6 to 11
Drop-in anytime each Wednesday at the Sahara West Library and get your Grade School Grab Bag from the Youth Services Desk and make your craft in the comfort of your home! Grade School Grab Bags are available while supplies last and are on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Thursdays: Big Kids Bag for ages 3 to 5
Drop-in anytime on Thursday at the Sahara West Library and get your Big Kids Bag from the Youth Services Desk. Read a story and make your craft in the comfort of your home! Big Kids Bags are available while supplies last and are on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Fridays: Tiny Tots To Go Bag for ages 0 to 2
Drop-in anytime today at the Sahara West Library and get your Tiny Tots To Go Bag from the Youth Services Desk. Read a story and make your craft in the comfort of your home! Tiny Tots To Go Bags are available while supplies last, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Saturdays & Sundays: Family Fun Bag for ages 2 to 8.
Drop-in anytime during the weekend at the Sahara West Library and get your Family Fun Bag from the Youth Services Desk. Enjoy a story and make your craft in the comfort of your home! Family Fun Bags are available while supplies last, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.  


Spring Valley Library

Swing by the Spring Valley Library anytime to pick up a free learning activity, craft, or storytime! You can complete the activity at the library or at home. Each day we will feature a different age group, however, all activities will be available whenever you drop in. We've got teen activities, math packets, literacy projects, and fun STEAM kits. If you don't see the activity you need, let us know! 

Mondays: Math Mondays for grades K through 8
Come in and brush up on those math skills! Packets will be available for grades K through 8.

Tuesdays: Storytime to Go for ages 0-5
Kits will include a link to a book on YouTube and a learning activity or craft.

Wednesdays: Pre-K Storytime to Go for ages 3-5
Kits will include a link to a book and a learning activity or craft.

Thursdays: School Age Craft for ages 6-11
Come on in and grab a fun take away craft or activity.

Fridays: Fun Friday STEAM Club for ages 6-11
Stop by and grab a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to go kit to complete at home. Kits will include an activity that encourages creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.

Saturdays: Teen Activity for ages 12-17
Come in and pick up a fun take away craft or activity to complete at home! 

Sundays: Crafts for All Ages
Stop by and grab a fun take away craft or activity.


Summerlin Library

Daily: Variety of Take & Makes for ages 2-17
We offer different activities for every age group and change them frequently throughout the week - stop in and pick one up (while supplies last)!

Saturdays: Crafty Kids Saturdays for children and their families
Swing by the Summerlin Library Youth Services Department and pick up your Crafty Kid Kit to take home (while supplies last). Each kit contains a craft that is fun for the whole family and we will have a new craft each week!


Sunrise Library

Tuesdays: A new featured activity kit will be available at noon for ages 0-5
Bring home some library fun with our take and make activity kits! Our display will be featuring a new take and make activity each week for children five and under every Tuesday at noon!

Wednesdays: Sunrise Storytime Express live program and Take & Make for ages 0-5
All aboard the Sunrise Storytime Express! Join us for storytime and a special take & make activity to take home. The train departs Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Space is limited, so please stop by the Sunrise Youth Services Desk for your free ticket.

Thursdays: STEAM Take and Make for ages 6-11
Learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math with our STEAM Take and Make activities! Our display will have a new STEAM take and make activity every Thursday at noon.


West Charleston Library

Thursdays: For ages 6-11

Kirigami Butterflies:
Decorate your personal space or gift these beautiful paper butterflies which make the perfect suncatcher.

Back to School Folders:
Get ready and organized for the new school year by designing your very own pocket folder and creating some fun school-related crafts.

Dinosaur Grab Bags:
Grab your very own Dinosaur Kit complete with Rainbow Scratch Dinosaurs, Growing Pet Dino Eggs, and Jurassic Bookmarks!

Make a Geodesic Dome:
Learn the history and design of the iconic Geodesic Dome and then attempt to make your own using toothpicks and marshmallows.


Whitney Library

Tuesdays: Craft kits for families
Stop by our Youth Services Department any time this week to pick up your Take & Make craft bag with all the supplies you'll need to make a fun craft at home! A new craft will be available every Tuesday.  

Wednesdays: Craft kits available after Music and Movement Storytime for ages 0-5
Can't make it to our in-person storytime? Stop by the Youth Services Department any time during the week to pick up a book bundle and Take & Make craft bag to have your own storytime at home!


Windmill Library

Tuesdays: Craft or Activity Kits
Stop by every Tuesday to pick up a Take & Make activity bag. There will be a different craft or activity available every Tuesday to take home and enjoy.  While supplies last.
