Are they right for you?

They are perfect for:

  • teachers to send home with students for the summer.
  • librarians to pass out to patrons.
  • families who want to enjoy great books and do simple themed activities at home.

The set includes 3 calendars (June 2020- August 2020) in color and black, white along with 3 resource sheets, and 3 tracking sheets.   Families can hang the calendar on the refrigerator each month and take the resource sheet with them to the library to gather the books for the month.

The calendars are perfect for families or classrooms with preschoolers through grade 2!

Each week a theme is introduced with a wonderful children’s book. If the main title is unavailable, there are three alternative book ideas each week.  Then, there are 5 easy to do activities included with each theme.  Activities include literacy, math, art, science and gross motor ideas.  Choose to do as many as you want to fit your schedule.

Here is a look at just one sample week.

Theme: jumping

Featured book:  Jump, Frog, Jump! by Robert Kalan

Alternate books: Puddles by Jonathan London, No Jumping on the Bed by Tedd Arnold, or Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow

Suggested activities:

  • Count how many time you can jump in a row.  Then count by 2s, 5s, or 10s
  • Name all the animals that you can think of that jump.
  • Jump in a puddle.  You may need a hose to help if there are no nature made puddles.
  • Explore a jumping colors activity.
  • Draw five lines on the sidewalk with chalk. Practice jumping over the lines.

You get all of these wonderful resources for just $3!
